Concept:
I got a chance to animate for a commission from Wdka institute. I was required to create a three-minute explanatory video about practices (a special course we have in our institution), clarifying the concept visually. My tasks were to come up with a design for the characters and background according to the script and animate the scenes.
Action:
I had in total one week and a half to come up with the design and realize the video. The client provided me with a reference animation of “Spacekits”. TikTok videos where simple 2d animated characters statically talk to each other and make gags. I was invited to follow the style. I animated body language and did lip-synch. I also added word lines close to the speaking character, so it would be easier to follow the speech.
