Pitch project: a collaborative experience, where everyone chooses a separate professional role and does research into conventions and properties of production aspects of an animated series. The result of the pitch assignment contains a polished animated scene. It should be based on an adaptation of an existing narrative and consider the decided genre and target audience.
In the pitch project “BRAINWORM” I took a role of the dynamic designer and of the sound creator.

Work process (part 1)
I was in the role of an animator. I was most needed in the later stage. However, as soon as we got a draft concept from the art director, I started working on the dream visuals, which our main character was supposed to experience in the scene. I moved dead flowers on the scanner, investigating a new way of animating. I also idealize and sewn together the brain of our character requested from the head of stop motion.

Work process (part 2)
Animating was my main occupation in the team effort, but since we all had to animate at least five seconds of the video, I also had to think about my co-workers. I tried to facilitate their tasks by leaving them simple scenes, or small in-betweening and clean up. I also took on myself sound design part, mostly because it fits well with my personal interests. I recorded the voiceover, conduct research into sound effects, foley, and music suitable for the thriller genre and edit everything together.
